Belgian made insignia in wear

This is the well decorated Flemish volunteer of the Langemarck division, SS Unterscharführer Frans Werrebrouck.

He received the eastern front medal, the iron cross second and first class, the infantery combat badge, the wound badge in silver. Above his pocket we see the close combat bar. Next to the wound badge we see the Joris Van Severen loyalty badge. This was awarded to all persons who were party member of the Dinaso movement before 1940. In 1940 Joris van Severen, the leader of Dinaso, was executed in Abbeville, France.

On his sleeve , Frans Werrebrouck is wearing a Belgian made SS sleeve eagle above his Flemish volunteer shield.

Of interest are also the metal skull and eagle insignia on het M43 cap.

Portrait of Waffen SS Hauptsturmführer Oskar Klingelhöfer . He was the commander of 7. SS Panzer Regiment 1 in 1944 -1945. He led this company during the Battle of the Bulge.

When we make a close up of his cap insignia, we clearly see that they are the Belgian made Waffen SS cap eagle and skull.
